Shaker Arts Council (SHAC) presents SHAC on TRAC –The Road to Arts & Community, a celebration of our mission to build the community through the arts and to build the arts through the community. SHAC on TRAC, a series of three “block parties extraordinaire” with entertainment for all ages, will take place throughout the summer. The events will feature an interactive art activity, live music and strolling entertainers. The art activity will engage each participant in creating and contributing one “piece” to a unity sculpture that will grow with each subsequent event. The theme of the art project will be “Everyone has a Story to Tell.” All events are free and open to the public.
SHAC on TRAC will kick off Saturday, June 24, 2017 with the Ludlow Community Association as host. The event will be held from 4 -7 pm at PEP Ludlow School, at the corner of Ludlow and Southington Roads, Shaker Heights, OH 44120. The event will feature Ludlow’s own Ronny Love, former lead singer of the Drifters. (Rain date: 6/25) The July SHAC on TRAC will take place Friday, July 21, 2017 in collaboration with the SCENE Van Aken Beer Garden located at the Shaker Plaza, activities will run from 6 -10 pm. The final event will be held Friday, August 25, 2017 with the Lomond Association hosting. The event will be held at Lomond School, 17917 Lomond Blvd, Shaker Heights, OH 44120. Activities and a performance by The CruiseMasters with golden oldies and rock n roll hits, will begin at 7 pm followed by a movie under the stars.
