On Friday, May 1, 2015, the Shaker Arts Council 2014-‐15 Aha! (At Home with the Arts) series presents Verditas Quartet in concert. Guest artist Maximilian Dimoff, principal double bassist of the Cleveland Orchestra, will join the string quartet in an eclectic evening of chamber music and tangos. The performance held at a gracious Shaker Heights home will begin with of Antonin Dvorak's String Quintet No. 2. Reservations are required and seating is limited. Tickets are $30 and include light refreshments and a wine reception. The evening begins at 7:00 pm with time to mingle with your fellow attendees followed by the performance at 7:45. Verditas Quartet members include Amber Dimoff, viola, founding member of both Red {an orchestra} and CityMusic and a member of the Akron Symphony, Akron Baroque, and the Grammy award winning Cleveland Chamber Orchestra; Jeffrey Zehngut, violin, and Yun-‐Ting Lee, violin, both members of the Cleveland Orchestra and Daniel Pereira, cello, previous co-‐ principal of Red {an orchestra}.
The varied backgrounds and musical interests of the members of Verditas Quartet add depth and inventiveness to their programs. The quartet brings a high level of artistry and attention to detail to every performance of the beloved chamber music repertoire.
