Shaker Arts Council (SHAC) is announcing the unveiling of eight newly wrapped utility boxes throughout Shaker Heights. Two student-designed boxes can be viewed at the corner of Parkland Drive and Lee Road and near the RTA Green line tracks at Southington Road. Three of the boxes designed by professional artists can be seen at the intersections of Lee Road, Courtland Boulevard, South Green Road and Shaker
Boulevard and three others at the intersections of Ashby Road, Kenmore Road and Onaway Road and Van Aken Boulevard. The eight boxes have been added to the Shaker Heights Public Art Tour. New this year, due to the abundance of public art in Shaker Heights, the tour has been divided into two routes: the Blue Line and the Green Line. The SHAC sponsored online tours can be accessed by computer or mobile devices. Feel free to bike, drive or walk in person using your electronic device, or take the tour virtually. Shaker Arts Council’s SHAC on TRAC Utility Box Project is supported in part by the residents of Cuyahoga County through a public grant from Cuyahoga Arts & Culture.
