After the
success of our first-ever Sketchbook Gallery fundraiser, the
Shaker Heights Arts Council is happy to announce that it is
organizing a second such fundraiser, and we hope you will
participate. We are asking for a page or two ripped right from
your sketchbook, a photo proof you may have sitting around, or a
small piece of three-dimensional art.
It's easy to
participate in the Sketchbook Gallery. We aren't looking for
anything fancy; literally take a page or two from your
sketchbook or your files. These pages will be sold for $20 per
piece; 3-dimensional work will be sold for $20, $30 or $40 - to
be arranged with the artist. All proceeds will be divided
equally between SHAC and the artist. In addition to raising
money for SHAC, this gallery is a gentle, no pressure way to
introduce people to buying original art. HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR
PIECES

Rip a page out of your
sketchbook, unearth something from your flat files, or dust
off a maquette or pieces of ceramics (three piece limit per
artist)

Sign your
name on the front of the 2-D pieces; tape your name on the
3-D pieces.

Attach
your contact information. (VERY necessary to return your
pieces or pay you!)

Drop off pieces by Wednesday
evening, February 26 to Suzanne Cooper, 2706 Inverness Road, Shaker Heights.
We'll take
care of the rest! Don't forget, get your tickets to the next AHA! We hope you will participate. Your involvement helps SHAC
achieve its goal of growing and fostering a vibrant arts
